We live in a "capitalist" society. Moats will be built, regulations will be enacted to ensure the American Corporation controls the market segment. No one has been able to unseat Amazon, no one has been able to unseat Google, no one has been able to unseat Microsoft, no one has been able to seat Twitter, Facebook, etc. The modern market is segments that are controlled by a single entity. There will be no local models.
Given the disappointing levels of intellectual decay that our current technology has thrust upon civilization, I only see humans reverting back to neanderthal levels of intelligence in short time with the advent of AI

There's no reliable evidence that Neanderthals were less intelligent than modern humans. They're extinct now (except for a tiny genetic legacy in some human populations) but that could have happened for a variety of reasons unrelated to intelligence or lack thereof.
No you don't. If people don't learn to solve problems and exercise their mind with small problems, how are they going to deal with big problems? The "neanderthal" part is a colorful expression.

There are so many parallels between what TV could have become and the progression of AI, a nearly free conveyance for culture, education, art and discourse. Yet, we allowed it spiral in a positive feedback loop, creating a cognitive gyre that now razes society.
At least the youngest now use "that's AI" as a pejorative, as in that is bullshit.
Does that explain why different countries that speak different languages have different engineering cultures? Like is german better suited towards engineering than english for example?
As much as I hate inflation...there is more to it than just printing money. Because money slowely loses value over time, it incentives investment over hoarding. Bitcoin is a perfect example if this because there is a fixed number of bitcoins. People invest and hold onto bitcoin itself rather than spending it, causing the "value" of a bitcoin to increase. It makes for a poor currency because everyone who bought a pizza for several bitcoins a few years ago is now kicking themselves because they essentially paid tens of thousands of dollars for a pizza...so who would want to spend their bitcoins on something today when it could be worth twice as much in a few months?
