I've noticed that some companies have flat out dropped the high memory configurations from their lineup that were offered just months ago at inflated prices. OnePlayerX had a 128GB Strix Halo tablet, RedMagic had a 24GB Android phone - both have been removed from their sites. It's a similar situation for the new Thinkpad lineup.

The honor 400 used to be sold for 300 dollars with 12 gb of ram. Now the replacement the honor 600 comes with 8 GB at twice the price.

Same experience for me. I get endless Cloudflare loops for many sites due to using less common browsers. Given that the goal is is distinguishing bots from actual humans, it seems to be a rather high failure rate. At least I think I'm human...

One method that does seem to help is being sloppy when clicking the "I am a human" checkbox. I suspected that bots were more likely to perfectly click the center of the checkbox every time and decided to try clicking the padding around the checkbox instead (which still registers as a click). It seems to be more successful, but it could be my imagination.


They are using every trick in the book, so I suspect your suspicions may be true.

The first sentence of the main site is "D2: Declarative Diagramming - A modern language that turns text to diagrams", followed by multiple code snippets and the resulting diagrams.

I click the thingy and don't see that, I know D2 as the big language split for Dlang, I click around, I still can't tell what this is.

It's diagramming software? Like plantuml or mermaid? It says it right on the tin and with all the examples.

Are you manually rendering previews of its OpenSCAD output to create images for it to review, or do you have a workflow that automates that?


I've built some tools using AI. A custom GUI that has "copy context" and "copy image" buttons, to make prompting easy, and the camera position is persisted to disk on each change so that the agent can run a command to get a screenshot of it.

I'm thinking about inlining an AI chat window directly - I guess I might fire off a prompt to do that right now.


Personally both, i use openscad with opencode, and paste images but it is pretty often the modell decides by itself it wants to see a render and uses the render shell commands to get a image to look at.


Not exactly. There have been cases where tourists were denied entry and faced extended detention but they were held in U.S. facilities before being returned to their home countries.

There have been cases of incoming immigrants sent to foreign prisons without charges or trial. In March 2025 the U.S. administration flew 238 Venezuelan migrants from Texas directly to the "Terrorism Confinement Center" in El Salvador. Not to be pedantic, but although the datacenters are running Nvidia hardware, Tesla did develop their own 20-core/3-npu high bandwidth chip for their cars. It's nowhere near the computational ability of any datacenter GPU, but at 150+ TOPS it's no slouch either.

The accuracy score of this one would probably be a lot higher than pulling that sentence out alone would lead one to believe.


What is the issue? You can still download the world files, but it would be inconvenient to store them in Minecraft's unoptimal format.


"The largest available Minecraft world" implies we're talking about one world. Then "totaling 15TB" implies the world is 15TB large which would be incredibly impressive and potentially involve multiple shards of minecraft servers stitched together. But 15TB of world files means there's multiple copies of the same data. Still impressive but not the same as a single 15TB world.


The only redundant part of this snapshot is the second 512k^2 snapshot of the overworld. The End and Nether snapshots are still meaningful. Excluding the 512k^2 snapshot, the size would be around 12TB.

And the actual size of the 2b2t world is likely much larger than 15TB. The data for this project is stored in a highly compressed form, much more efficient than the game's standard file format.


Maybe I'm misunderstanding what this means in that case:

How do they both provide a single snapshot of the world while also providing a date range.


The word "snapshot" is not entirely accurate. They used several bots to manually download the world by flying around, and that collection process takes several months (as described in the blog post).


Microsoft can probably scale Minecraft up to support infinitely large sized worlds if they want to. Minecraft lazy loads the world in chunks so you there's no real limitation (aside from machine digit sizes)


This has already occurred. This has been since Minecraft infdev (2009, now 17 years old). Later on, a limit of 30 million blocks (30000km) in each direction from the origin was added, due to floating-point precision issues and integer overflows in world generation, which get more severe past this point. Integer overflows in world generation caused the infamous "far lands" in versions prior to Beta 1.8.

Levenshtein distance and semantic distance can be wildly different. Deed -> dead, for instance.


Have you looked at the BPI-R4? It's a pricier option than the OpenWRT One, but it has excellent hw acceleration for networking tasks. I am 90% sure I recall someone reporting using it for a 2.5Gbps PPPoE connection and it handled it. It's also supported by the OpenMPTCProuter project if you need network aggregation support.


While they're okay on paper, they managed to burn a lot of customers in regards to the add-on wifi 7 module.

Quite a few of the modules went out without their eeprom programmed correctly, and all of them appear to be plagued by quite mediocre performance from (alleged) inadequate RF shielding on the card.

It looks like they've revised the design, but it's peeved off quite a few of the Banana Pi/Sinovoip customers who have bought them with the intention of using it as a router/ap with their R4. (It's dual-PCIe fingers with unique spacing and requires out of spec PCIe voltages, so it's only practically usable with a BPi R4.)

At the very least, the customers using them as wired-only routers are likely to be having a slightly better experience.


FreshTomato is still active, and they are doing x86 builds now. I'm running it on an aging Netgear R7000 and it has been stable.


May just take a look at it... I'm not doing much with OpnSense, I'm running RPi on a separate system, that I'd like to integrate into DNS on the router itself, but that's about it. The only other feature I want to use but haven't configured is auto failover to a cellular modem. It's cheap, and enough for work, but not great for heavy use.
