So,
After 1 year of computational ph.d., I really pushed a lot the AI models.
But honesty, also if they can be really good, I think that it does not really speedup a lot in long term a junior. You cannot really present non-validated results, and the validation of the huge amount of unorganized things that they generate is really stressing.
So yes, for a while I was losing motivation, because I felt like I had to produce more but I could really follow that productivity.
To really get motivation, u need to spend the correct amount of time of understand and make your hand dirty when it is necessary. I noticed that if I try before by myself, I understand what I am doing, and after I just optimize the code using an LMM, it is way more motivating
I am working on a cyberpunk multiplayer, shared, persistent world which runs completely in a terminal, and you can access just by typing "vibeworld" in the terminal(https://github.com/SorBalda/vibeworld).
The idea is that developers and scientists can meet each other in the terminal in a funny way at 3 am while working.
There is a place in the moon where you can "scream" against your last LLM session and everybody can see your scream from the space.
You can create your avatar, share your github if u want too.
It is full of continents (the "physics" continent, the "computer science" one, etc.) and in each continent there are cyberpunk cities. You can create corners and expand the city, and enter. A 3D supercyberpunk animation brings you in the corner and you can chat with people who enters in the corner (corner=chatrooms). Also voice chat works if u active it. In your terminal.
In the moon there is a place where you can see the stars and everything happening on the virtual pixelated sky, water a plant (if nobody put water it dies), with a soft low quality chill music. If someone is in a room with you, you can see him and you can chat, even vocal chat exists.
It is perfect to let it open in the second monitor while working so that you can watch the stars while dying of tasks to do, and sometimes have some conversation with someone who is in your same situation.

In June I did not know any project like this, and I wanted to test the Fable capabilities (but really I was aware of everything he was doing so that it matched perfectly what I wanted to do, a terminal nerdy world). It was just for fun but I ended spending really a lot of time, and tokens in order to tune everything and match correctly what I wanted and in a secure way.
It's a persistent multiplayer cyberpunk world with avatars, text chat, proximity voice chat, shared spaces and a few weird places (like a moon where people go to scream after the AI agent destroys your code).
It is a sort of real time reddit where regions in the earth are science macroarea, and you can just explore alone the world, or keeping company at 2am while coding, or doing networking, or asking help to specialized people in real time.
N.b. The project is still evolving quickly. I intend to publish the client source later, but I don't want to freeze the architecture. I would like to have feedback.
