If someone put up a sign in a store that said "Burn this store down!" the person who put the sign up is not responsible if someone follows the instructions written on it, are they?
They could be. Incitement to commit crime is a crime in many places. And penalty can be same as for the crime itself.
Now I very much question if automated system should be inciteable. And think that there is very much higher responsibility to make it always not be. Or make it uncapable of doing undesirable things.
In this specific case, they are already trespassing to be able to read the sign against the owner's wishes, are they not? The sign is only placed in a hidden corner visible by trespassers and not visible to any regular customer.
Copyright isn't an issue because these ports never contain the actual assets from the games. You usually have to provide your own ROM "ripped from your own copy of the cartridge" (wink wink nudge nudge)
Yeah, some non-colorblind people mistakenly think we can "fix" it by mapping trouble colors to different colors because they fundamentally misunderstand that we always see like this.
I expect doing this well requires the underlying system to somehow have a clear differentiation between whether a color is mapped to the natural world or not.
In other words, colors assigned to good/warn/error icons can be shifted almost arbitrarily as long as they are consistent over time for one person, but it backfires if you're doing the same shift for colors in a picture of a tree's spring/autumn/fall leaves.
I think this is because recently there has been extreme backlash to this sort of thing.
