It’s all relative; in the quarks frame of reference it does get all its mass from the interaction with the Higgs field.


I really want to read more about this. It’s fascinating but also very difficult to wrap your head around. I did enjoy the Feynman talks.

No it won't because Chinese DRAM manufacturers have relatively low capacity and it's already being used. And in an auction, prices from different suppliers converge.

I've seen that huge margin when zooming out issue before. I'm using Safari on iOS, but have also experienced this issue in Chrome on Android. It's probably some sort of weird compatibility thing for desktop websites. You start zoomed correctly, but for some reason, there's horizontal scroll and you can also zoom out. For seemingly no reason, as I doubt any of the websites where this happens intended it.

Note that I can't reproduce it myself on this submission, but I've seen it so many times and in so many different places that I don't think it's a website issue.

Hadn't heard of it before, though looks similar in intent.

My inspiration for trackm was actually moneywell.app which i bought a license for in 2009.

The "look X years" into the future feature was pulled from it.

I no longer have a mac or ios device, so built trackm to fill the void.


what do people use for Neovim to integrate these models for tab-completion level of stuff. (i.e. non agentic/vibe coding)


I use llama.vim with llama.cpp and the qwen2.5-coder 7B model. Easily fits on a 16 GB GPU and is fast even on a tiny RTX 2000 card with 70 watts of power. Quality of completions is good enough for me, if I want something more sophisticated I use something like Codex


the most efficient languages are pretty unpopular, so this argument makes them even more efficient in reality?...
