And the algos they use to drive people harder to gamble are particularly pernicious. It isn't just putting slot machines in their way when they're walking to the washroom. It's high-pressure psychological tactics that are hard for non-addictive people to ignore, let alone gambling addicts.

Interestingly, there are a few places that will sell you a warrantied and new desktop or rackmount PC with a Windows NT 4.0 license. I imagine buyers of their systems are often in similar predicaments, not sure who else would buy these.
There are some things I don't understand about the OP's constraints (are you sure you can't run that Amiga VM on a newer version of Windows, or better yet, run that Amiga-based software on one of the currently supported Amiga VMs?). But they can probably pretty easily keep going as they're going with this software until some other, more significant thing in that plant becomes fully obsolete and the place is shut down.
You don't have to be a redneck moron to enjoy the things you can do that require a gun. There's plenty of hunters and sports shooters that realize that the authoritarians will eventually restrict guns to keep themselves safe.
I find using an AI for the first draft useful enough of a kick in the ass to actually get the thing written, which I've probably been procrastinating about for hours.
I rewrite it from there, and it's completely different by the time I'm done because it's version is terrible enough that it annoys me into correcting it.
